To make this version, use the same recipe as for the almond buttercrunch except: lay down a single layer of Cheez-Its rather than almonds at the beginning. I also used chopped, toasted pecans to top this one off.
Ok, so this buttercrunch may sound a bit wacky, but trust me, it's good. The only problem: Cheez-Its aren't available in Canada. You could probably swap them out for Cheese Nips (ugh), but personally, I think they are inferior in flavour and cheesiness. Regardless of what you decide to use, the result is a slightly salty and sweet and, uh, cheesy buttercrunch that I am now slightly addicted to.
